Scholarships available to members of the American Legion returning to college in California
Details
- -Selection is based on scholastic standing and academic achievement (25%), character and leadership (25%), initiative and goals (25%), and financial need (25%)
-The winner competes for the national American Legion Auxiliary Scholarship for Non-Traditional Student. If the California winner is not awarded the national scholarship, then he or she receives this departmental scholarship
Requirements & Eligibility
-Members of the American Legion, American Legion Auxiliary, or Sons of the American Legion who have paid dues for the 2 preceding years and the calendar year in which application is being made
-Must be nontraditional students returning to school after some period of time during which their formal education was interrupted just beginning their education at a later point in life
-Must be attending or planning to attend college in California
-Residents of California
